About Us

Gantley's Tavern is located only a 5-minute drive from the centre of Queenstown and 1-minute from the bottom of Coronet Ski Field.  This historic stone building is Queenstown's oldest hospitality business and was built in 1863 by Patrick Gantley to provide food, drink and lodgings in the gold rush era.

In summer, Gantley's offers a large, grassy beer garden where you can soak up the sun and beautiful surroundings. In winter, our cozy atmosphere and roaring fires make it the perfect place to visit for après ski.

We have 20 craft beers on tap, local wines/spirits, and a mouthwatering menu - "pub fare with flair".

Our opening hours are currently:

Monday to Sunday 9am - 10pm

We are currently open daily from 9am for Higher Ground coffee, fresh baking and a full breakfast menu. We switch over to our lunch/dinner menu from 12pm, which runs until the late evening.

Gantley's Tavern is dog friendly as long as they are on a lead.
